The Lake Leech represents a food item common to the lakes of Alaska. Darrell Winter, a former Club president, fishes the fly from his float tube - either with a slow bouncing retrieve or a slow troll. Some Club members claim that this simple fly, tied in a variety of colors, is fully effective as its larger and better known cousin - the ubiquitous Woolly Bugger.
