MUDDLER MINNOW
Hook: Tiemco 300, sizes 2-8
Thread: Tan
Tail: Mottled turkey quill segment
Body: Gold Tinsel
Wing: Underwing of gray squirrel tail; overwing of paired segments of mottled turkey quill

A pattern that is deadly all over the world for many species, the Muddler is effective in Alaska for everything from grayling to chinook salmon and is usually fished deep. This gold-bodied version is a favorite in clear water, and a silver-bodied version is useful in more turbid or glacial waters.
