This is a slight modification of the pattern described in Vol. 2 of
The Western Fly Tying Manual by Jack Dennis. The wire greatly
increases the life of the hackle and adds some flash. This is an execellent
steelhead, Dolly Varden, and rainbow trout producer. Effective color variations
used are all black, all brown, and fluorescent orange.
