Ernest Helton states, "Here's a photo of a nice rainbow I caught on Quartz Creek this September. Although there is clearly a much larger population of dolly varden in this stream occasionally large rainbows also follow the spawning red and silver salmon to compete with the dolly's in the egg feast. I have also caught a few nice grayling in Quartz Creek over the years downstream of Crescent Creek. They must have come all the way down from Crescent Lake I would guess." ![]() |
